Product Description
This sampler was put together for the end of a detachment to Afghanistan by RAF Chinook Squadron.
It was selected to suit all tastes and contains a milder cigar for beginners, an aged cigar for those who appreciate the smoothness that comes with a little time, a medium cigar and a full bodied cigar for a regular cigar smoker.
This Selection is supplied complete with notes on the cigars also on cutting and lighting.
There is a long tradition of London Tobacconists and Cigar Stores sending ‘supplies’ to troops in the field which Sautter is proud to continue when ever our troops serve overseas..
During the First World War one tobacconist sent pipes to the officers in the trenches complete with invoices payable on their return to Blighty.
To protect the pipes he wrapped them carefully and thinking about what the troops would appreciate best he wrapped the pipes in toilet roll which was greatly appreciated.
He discovered that some of the pipes were being ‘intercepted’ and so started to label the parcels “Cod Liver Oil”. From that point on all of the parcels were received safely and without being opened!
